I was on a 24-hour bus ride from Kenya to Rwanda. I had my face glued to the window, because we were entering into an area of the Rift Valley where most of the post-election violence took place in 2008. There is still building rubble left behind, and people are still living in tents. While being face to face with such a sad situation, we happened to pass an 18-wheeler truck with this guy attached to the back. Now isn’t that a fantastic way to travel?!
Love this picture! I know a few people have joked about using something like this go get around but kudos to him for actually doing it.
Yeah, I caught the shot at the last minute before we zoomed by!
I’ve seen this a couple times but it always makes me whinge as the trucks stop abruptly and the cyclists can’t anticipate it.
Ooh, Ayngelina I never actually thought that far ahead! Yes, I hope he veers off before that happens ;)
What an incredible capture! Seems a bit dangerous, but oh so fun!!!
Thanks Andi! Yeah, I’m not sure that I’d be brave enough to try this.
Love it! This picture put a smile on my face – though I am hoping the truck wasn’t zipping too fast down the road!
haha pretty clever..and you caught it on cam
