Today I am off to spend a sunny (ha, kidding!) 12 days in Portland to visit my best friend, indulge in Thanksgiving festivities, and prepare for my upcoming trip to Kenya. And I’m also excited to be hosting this great giveaway as well. The Radisson is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary with a campaign 50 Years, 50 Days, 50 Rooms. That’s right- they are giving away 50 free nights at the Radisson and I am excited to be giving away one of those nights to one of my lucky readers. It’s super easy to enter and you can do so through multiple avenues.
1. Comment on this post with your favorite beach destination (since it’s getting colder here in the States now I am dreaming of lying on a beach somewhere!).
2. Tweet about this giveaway- you can do this every day until the contest ends for extra entries! And you can use the pre-made tweet from the widget below.
3. Like A Wandering Sole’s Facebook page.
4. Follow A Wandering Sole on Twitter.
I am using Rafflecopter for this giveaway to make things easy. Once you have done any of the above steps, simply click on the coordinating link below so that your entry has been counted! So, if you leave a blog comment you still need to click on the Rafflecopter button that says you left a comment so that you are entered into the drawing. Then a winner will be selected at random by Rafflecopter.
A winner will be chosen on November 22nd! That means you have a week to get those entries in. Don’t forget, you can tweet about the contest multiple times for more entries. Good luck!
And just for some inspiration… here’s one of my favorite beach destinations. A little beach in Zanzibar (off the coast of Tanzania) called Kendwa.
The fine print: Voucher is valid for one free night, standard room, double occupancy at any North American Radisson Blu or Radisson hotel of the winner’s choice. The voucher expires one year after issue date. The full terms and conditions are located on the room night voucher. The Radisson gave me a free night’s stay for hosting this giveaway.

Moeraki Beach, on the south island of New Zealand, has large, unusual, round mythical boulders. It’s a fantastic sight to see.

My favorite beach is Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina, for the memories and emotional ties connected with it. We live in Michigan, and I traveled to Duke University with my then 11 year old daughter. It was at Duke I was told she was going to die. My daughter asked to go to the ocean, so we spent the next few days at Wrightsville Beach in an incredibly bittersweet journey.

My favorite beach is Folly Beach, just 15 minutes from Charleston SC. But there’s no Radisson there. There is a very fine Radisson in Charleston, though. Folly Beach is laid back (the traffic signs say: “Slow down! You’re in Folly!”) and not very crowded during the week, though weekends can get crowded.
We’re going to be trying out a new beach in December — at the Islands of Loreto in Mexico. It’s on the Sea of Cortez, has lots of history, and is home to whales, sea lions and seals.
