I planned on putting captions to these photos, but I really think they speak for themselves. I hope that I have captured the gentle nature of these giants and you will feel like you were there with me.

Laura,
These are beautiful images. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. I just stumbled across your site the other day and I’m so glad I did.
Deb,
Glad you found my site. I’m so glad you enjoyed the photos. I have a lot more to upload it’s just a matter of finding the time!
Amazing photos Laura. You have captured some great emotions behind those faces of the gorillas.

Did you keep one?
If you had seen the babies, you’d know I was tempted! However, I also saw how big they get so thought it was best to leave them in the park!
Agreed no captions are needed, it really looks like such a wonderful experience. Gorillas in the Mist is one of my favorite movies so this is definitely on my bucket list.
Ayngelina,
Although pricey it was definitely a wonderful experience. The one hour you’re allowed goes by quickly!
These are beautiful pictures. You captured their faces perfectly.
great shots — did my gorilla trek in Uganda and had the same great experience. Amazing how close you can get to them. Love the shots that get the eyes in focus.
Well done! Gorgeous shots.
It must be an amazing experience to be this close to these animals. Great shots!
Superb photos Laura, what a great experience it must have been. I heard that there is some ongoing political tension not too far from where they are, is this true?
Love the photos Laura. Amazing and wow, what a great experience!
What an amazing sight! You’ve captured it beautifully Laura. THANK YOU so much for sharing, this is definitely something I would like to see one day.
Thanks you so much Vibeke! It’s a rare travel moment and one I definitely recommend.
Photographing gorillas is really high on my bicket list. Hoping more conservation and education takes place so they will be around for my daughter to enjoy
You’ve captured their expression and moods so well.
You did v.well to get so close (you must have good +ve energy and vibes) and take such close up candid expressions
On another note I find it tough to upload pics on blogs-did you convert them to web res then post them?
I have just signed upto Picasa and hoping some sort of Picasa plugin can help me upload my pics easier on my blog which is fyi http://www.europebudgetguide.com
Say hola!
Kash
I’m jealous! I want to go gorilla tracking too one day! Great photos :)
Awwww, I did this this time last year, and it was one of my best experiences to date. Glad you got to experience it as well! Very cool photos.
Beautiful photos! You totally captured their gentle beauty.
Great idea just to do a photo essay. Words would have only gotten in the way. Amazing, amazing pics.
Oh my goodness – I found your blog and have started reading from the very beginning. I spent a semester in Rome in 2010 and absolutely love traveling and learning about other cultures. Just wanted to say I am really enjoying your writing and these gorilla pictures are incredible! Africa is on my to-do list someday and this is really reminding me of that!
Thanks Caity! Glad you are enjoying and please feel free to touch base if you have any questions :)
