As part of our road trip there is an “Abe Does America” series unfolding. Our road trip mascot is none other than an Abraham Lincoln bobblehead. He wasn’t actually our first choice, but he’s grown on us and has been quite the entertainer. It always makes for interesting conversation…. “Can I get a photo of you with Abe… my bobblehead?”
Here are photos from Abe’s time spent in Kentucky, his birthplace and our first stop on the road trip!
Abe looks like hes been a having a lot of fun. I am sure the Jim Bean distillery was his favorite. Hopefully he didn’t get too crunk!
Abe loves bourbon. Every Kentucky native does ;)
Cute!
Will Abe make it all the way to the west coast?
Yes ma’am! Abe is eager to see the west coast… he was neglected in FL and GA and got a little upset but I think we’ll win him back when we get to New Orleans.
Love this. There’s something about Abe’s face that makes him perfect for this series.
I know! I love how serious he looks (but deep down he’s not at all)
This is great! I love bobbleheads, and Abe Lincoln is a particularly funny looking bobblehead. i’d like to follow Abe through all of his adventures, now that I’ve become aware ofthis website. Sounds like the distillery was fun. Did you participate in a nice tasting?
Abe gets crunk?! I love you, Laura.
the adventures of Abe, this will make for a great series… look forward to it.
stay adventurous, Craig
I love the way that Abe just stands there and looks so badass.
The likeness of Abe to the real Abe photo is actually pretty impressive!
PS. The picture at the distillery is bad ass!
Whoaaaa, Abe gets around! Cute bobblehead and cute idea :)
Looks like you are having an awesome road trip! I once did a similar road trip theme, but used a silly band tree frog. How long is your road trip going to be?
