There aren’t many things in life that I find more disgusting than beer. So, it’s pretty ironic that the last place I visited on my US Road Trip was the Budweiser brewery in St. Louis. On my final week on the road, my dad joined me and not only did he want to visit Coors in Colorado, but he also wanted to see Budweiser. And though I hate beer, who doesn’t want the chance to see the Budweiser Clydesdales? The Budweiser tour in St. Louis is a large group tour that takes you through the brewery, to the stables, and to bottling. Even though bottling was closed the day we were there, at least we saw the horses!
And that, my friends, concludes my US Road Trip. I will be posting a wrap up of the road trip, and then it’s on to old writings that I never published, revisiting some of my favorite places that I never blogged about, and making an exciting announcement in the near future.
I agree beer is GROSS!!! What an awesome road trip!
It’s almost eerie exactly how similar my situation was to yours when my family was touring the brewery in New Hampshire: also not at all a fan of beer, also totally loved the Clydesdales.
I really don’t even remember too much about the plant tour itself, but I do remember feeling very pleased to hear our tour guide describe the worry-free life of a retired Budweiser Clydesdale. Kind of made me want to be a Budweiser Clydesdale!
I’m not a fan of the beer but I’d still go to the brewery to see the horses as they are so iconic.
